How the hell does Calibri make it but not Helvetica?

‘Cuz you should already have Helvetica – it’s pretty standard! The Google Font API is to add diversity, not duplication.
Check your Google Docs again, it simply the list of web fonts you can use in Google Docs. Also check your Windows XP machine, I can almost guarantee you don’t have Helvetica unless you added it yourself.
Obviously Google thinks their Web Font API is the greatest thing since sliced bread so they’re taking every opportunity to push it – meh, whatever. As for my XP machine, as long as I have Arial, Times New Roman, Courrier New, and WebDings I’m happy (I can’t tell the difference between most of the fonts installed on my computer anyways).
I guess there are two types of Font Folks, those that know the difference between Arial & Helvetica and @Schultzter
