Microsoft begrudgingly committed to Windows 10 Mobile

We believe in this product’s value to

    business customers

and it is our intention to support the Windows 10 Mobile platform for many years.

Those two highlighted words are the very problem with that whole statement. I don’t know anyone who is issued a company fun that doesn’t use personally for photos, music, fitness, checking the bank overdraft and playing games while needing to waste 5 to 10 minutes.

I’m pretty sure Microsoft already knows that it has truly lost the two-pony mobile race. And the industrial market they used to own with the WinMo 6.5 devices clearly belongs to Android and the various M2M solutions littering yards and shop floor. Which makes a statement like the one above so hard to understand. They have to push their Mobile platform even though none of the app developers are buying in. They seem to be banking on their customer building their own apps, when in fact a quick scan of the Google Play and Apple’s App Store turns out all of the app you need to almost any given task.

And yet they continue to push on like Palm and BlackBerry before them.
